Best Forex Brokers
Ranked by Total Cost
VeriLots measures trading cost with 1‑minute sampling and verified fee schedules. We standardize everything into one comparable metric: Total Cost per 1 Standard Lot (USD).

Median spread from 1‑minute samples + commission (USD/lot round‑turn) + swaps (points/night). We standardize into $ per lot so different pricing models become comparable.
Why this page is different
Standard “best broker” pages summarize claims. VeriLots is a measurement utility: one comparable metric, transparent assumptions, and a methodology you can audit.
Standard Review Sites
- Often focus on headline spreads (“from 0.0”) not total P&L drag
- Commission and swaps treated inconsistently
- Ranking logic hard to reproduce
VeriLots Benchmark Index
- Standardizes into $ per lot with explicit assumptions
- Shows enough component context to understand “why”
- Full transparency and scenario controls live in the Engine

Our Data Policy
1. Independent Sampling
Pricing is measured using independent collection infrastructure. Spreads are aggregated from 1‑minute samples over the last 30 days.
2. Standardization
Spreads, per‑lot commissions, and swaps are standardized into $ per lot using consistent conversion rules.
3. Auditability
The benchmark view is fixed. The Engine provides scenario controls, deeper breakdowns, and longer history for Pro members.
FAQ
Practical answers for choosing a broker using measurable costs.
What does “Total Cost ($/Lot)” mean?
It’s our benchmark estimate of the all-in trading cost for 1 standard lot under the page assumptions (majors basket, 13:00–16:00 UTC overlap, last 30 days), combining spread cost, commission, and (where applicable) swap impact.
Why is this a fixed benchmark instead of an interactive tool?
This page is designed to match “best forex brokers” search intent and remain auditable. Scenario controls (instrument, holding, account type, base currency) belong in the True Cost Engine.
Why can’t I just compare spreads?
Because a tighter spread can be offset by commission or higher swaps. Total Cost standardizes these into one number so “cheap” actually means cheaper to trade.
Are commissions shown per side or round-turn?
In this benchmark view, commission is expressed as $ per lot round-turn (RT) where applicable. Your exact costs may differ by account type and entity.
How do swaps affect the “best broker” choice?
Swaps are overnight financing adjustments and can dominate costs for swing traders. Long and short swap rates often differ — model your holding period and direction in the Engine.
How often is this ranking updated?
The benchmark uses a rolling last-30-days window and is refreshed regularly as new pricing samples arrive. The “Last updated” timestamp reflects the latest refresh.
Why is some data locked?
We publish enough detail to be useful, but reserve the full precision dataset, historical stability, and deeper component analytics for Pro members and the True Cost Engine.
Does regulation affect trading costs?
Costs can vary by entity, and protections vary by regulator. Always verify which regulated entity you’ll open under and whether features (leverage, protections, negative balance protection) differ.
Why do brokers have multiple regulators listed?
Many brokers operate several legal entities across regions. The regulator list is informational; your account will be under a specific entity depending on your country and onboarding flow.
What costs are not included in “Total Cost”?
This benchmark focuses on quantifiable pricing components. It may not fully capture execution quality factors like slippage during news, latency, or stop-loss fill behavior unless explicitly measured.
How do I pick the best broker for my style?
Use this page as a shortlist, then run your exact scenario in the True Cost Engine: instrument mix, typical holding period, account type, and base currency.
Is this financial advice?
No. VeriLots provides measurement and comparisons. It does not recommend trading or any specific product for your personal situation.
